A quick tutorial showing how to chain devices with 'Explode' to produce animated faces that flip.

Having trouble using this method for a 9k poly statuette. Max locks up and doesent recover. Any recommendations for high poly objects?

Diorn if you are splitting up a 9k statue by faces, that means you now will have 9k objects to animate and work on.

as i see it there is 2 options to do.

1: explode the statue in other forms then faces, maybe elements or make some custom cuts in the unwrap. or use the material ID to chose the chips.

2: Setup the ATK list and test it on a lowrez mesh, if it now works as intended. Save the ATK as a preset so you have it. then run it on the high poly objects and go take a coffee break :P

Thanks for the suggestions Mats, the project moved on withouth the effect but i'll try them out wheb i get the chance.

the same problem in max2016, all tutorial scenes can't open (failed). :cry:
